This is hand-painted art leather, which is made by hand by craftsmen who divide each piece of leather tanned in Hyogo Prefecture into two layers and apply art to it. It is truly a one-of-a-kind work of art, born from the mysterious pattern created by the interweaving of white and black and the embossing that tightens it up.
This product is unique due to individual differences in dyeing, so it may not be the same as the product in the image. Please note that products with patterns in particular may be rendered differently from the pattern in the image.

This hand-painted art leather is made from leather that has been combination tanned at a tannery in Himeji. After artisans hand-paint the leather in multiple abstract colors, the whole piece is finished off with a canvas-like embossing. Tanned leather has scratches, scuffs, wrinkles, and other marks that are proof that it was once alive. Leather that is generally treated as damaged is hand-painted and finished by artisans one by one, raising the quality of the art leather. As each piece is hand-dyed by an artisan, no two patterns are exactly the same, allowing you to enjoy your own unique pattern.

The dye solutions used for painting are made by leather dye craftsmen using the sensibilities they have developed through many years of experience.
Another characteristic of these pieces is that each pattern is unique, as they are hand-painted using various tools such as brushes and sponges.
In addition, by using pigments it is possible to create an oil painting-like look.
